About the Taubman Center

The A. Alfred Taubman Center for American Politics and Policy brings together scholars, practitioners, and students from different perspectives to address important problems facing American politics and policy. Since 1984, the Taubman Center has influenced local, national and global policymakers working at the intersection of research and public engagement. 

The Taubman Center’s programming includes:

• Research through workshops, conferences, and scholarship
• Engagement with public leaders and practitioners through several speakers series
• Internship and research opportunities for students

The Taubman Center is one of several research centers within the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. Located in the heart of Brown University and Providence, the Center benefits from the resources and attractions of both the school and the city.
