I’m McConnell Bristol, a rising junior concentrating in Political Science and Economics, and I’ll be an intern in the Office of Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. As a liaison between Congress and the Treasury, I hope to learn more about the ways economic policy is formulated, expressed, and implemented, as well as the varied political forces that impact and inform this process. I look forward to doing in-depth and timely work in the many different policy areas that interest me, including economic and tax policy, public debt management, and international finance and development. Above all, I’m excited at the chance to play a small part in the administration’s mission to improve lives by promoting strength, stability and prosperity in the U.S. economy.
